ADJUSTMENTS/ MANIPULATION
A chiropractic adjustment is the use of a specific force in a precise direction to assist in normalizing spinal function and improving joint mobility.
When a vertebra of the spine loses its normal position or motion, this is known as a vertebral subluxation.
A vertebral subluxation can choke or irritate delicate nerve tissue, cause adjacent muscles to spasm, and also cause the surrounding soft tissues to become inflamed or swollen. This is referred to as a vertebral subluxation complex (VSC).
If a thorough examination reveals malfunctioning areas of the spine (VSC), chiropractic adjustments are recommended to help correct this condition.
